Butchart Gardens and Vancouver Island
October 22-26, 2013

(Click thumbnail for enlargment)

We visited Butchart Gardens twice--an afternoon and a morning. For pictures, this was important because lighting at different times of day makes a big difference. Also if you go on 2 consecutive days, the admission the second day is only $3.50! This was our first visit to the Gardens, and I was awestruck.

Us - We arrived a day late due to fog at the Victoria airport, but still had plenty of time in this beautiful region.

The Butchart Gardens - Dahlia border that seemed to go on for a mile. I love these flowers, but am not fond of the support they need to stand--lots of gardeners have done the work!
